Common materials for blow molding include PE, PP, PET, etc., and their characteristics determine the application scenarios. HDPE features high impact resistance and good rigidity, making it ideal for milk bottles and chemical barrels. LDPE is flexible and used in films and hoses. PP has excellent high-temperature resistance, which is suitable for microwave food containers and medical vessels, but attention should be paid to its brittleness at low temperatures. PET boasts high transparency and strong barrier properties; its strength can be enhanced through stretch blow molding, making it the top choice for carbonated beverage bottles.
When selecting materials, it is necessary to match their melting points and fluidity with the heating and cooling systems of the equipment. For example, PET requires precise temperature control, while PE is compatible with equipment with a wide temperature range.
